Huawei has officially launched the MatePad Pro 12.2” 2025, its latest premium tablet for the global market. The new device retains many praised features from its predecessor, such as the Tandem OLED display and ultra-slim design, while offering upgrades in software, cameras, and battery to enhance user experience.
Weighing only 508 grams and measuring just 5.5 mm thick, the tablet is nearly as thin as Apple’s iPad Pro M4. It follows a modern rectangular design with flat edges, a circular rear camera module, and color options in black and green.
While Huawei has not officially confirmed the processor, the MatePad Pro is expected to feature the Kirin 9000S chipset, also found in the Mate 60 series. It comes with 12 GB of RAM and offers storage options of 256 GB or 512 GB.
A standout feature is its 12.2-inch Tandem OLED display, delivering a resolution of 2800 x 1840 pixels and up to 2,000 nits brightness. It supports the third-generation M-Pencil stylus and offers an optional PaperMatte anti-reflective finish that mimics the texture of paper, available with the 512 GB variant.
Camera upgrades include a new 50 MP main sensor, an 8 MP ultra-wide camera, and an 8 MP front-facing camera, suitable for video calls and document scanning.
Battery capacity has been slightly increased from 10,000 mAh to 10,100 mAh. While charging wattage was not disclosed, Huawei claims the device reaches 88% charge in just 40 minutes using fast charging.
Other features include Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.2, a side-mounted fingerprint reader, a magnetic keyboard included in the box, four-speaker audio, a PC-like desktop mode, and the latest HarmonyOS 4.3.

The MatePad Pro 12.2” 2025 is now available in Europe for €849.99 (~$948) for the 12 GB/256 GB version and €999.99 (~$1.116) for the 12 GB/512 GB variant.
