Sweetest Day

Deadline additionally reports Dorée Seay will star alongside Catherine Corcoran (Return to Nuke ‘Em High Vol. 1 & 2, Terrifier), Kelli Maroney (Night of the Comet, Chopping Mall) and Russell Todd (Friday the 13th Part 2, also Chopping Mall) in Sweetest Day, a “holiday-themed slasher” concerning a woman named Mindy (Seay) as she “prepares for the battle of her life against the undead confederate soldier that nearly killed her once before.” Alex MacNicoll (Brilliant Minds), Chris Labadie (If It Bleeds), Nate Boyer (The Terminal List), Deborah S. Craig (Meet Cute) and Morgana Shaw (Hit Man) round out the cast.

Fallout

In conversation with Complex, Walton Goggins stated Fallout “really starts cooking” with season two.

We’re deep into Season 2 of Fallout. Now that people understand what the world is, this story just takes it to a whole other level. I’ve been around a long time, and usually, a show that people are attracted to, with that license, the second season really starts cooking, right? That’s when some real magic can happen. It says a lot about a lot. It stays in these lanes of the tone that was kinda set but also veers outside of them in the most interesting ways.

Star Wars: Andor

Speaking with Deadline, Denise Gough answered “they fit each other’s wound” when asked about Dedra Meero’s relationship with Syril Karn, but unfortunately, “her one true love is the Empire.”

I don’t know, I feel like Dedra…I mean, I love him. I love Kyle [Soller]. I think there’s something about the kind of– I don’t like to say “freak,” but maybe it is a bit of freak in each other. Their, they find– there’s someone for everyone, right? And I feel like there’s– they fit each other’s wound, somehow. But unfortunately, Dedra’s really not capable. She can’t help but manipulate, because her one true love is the Empire. So, she kind of denies herself even trying to get to a point where she could be really intimate with somebody, because, her boyfriend’s the Empire.

Doctor Who

Russell T. Davies also revealed to Parade he has “ideas” for a fourth and fifth season of the new Doctor Who, if Disney and the BBC decide not to cancel it.

We’ll always look ahead to the future if we get the chance to keep running. I’ve got ideas. ‘I think I’ll do that near [season] 4 or 5.’ And that’s always the way I’ve worked on things. So yes, I could promise you amazing stuff at the end of season 4. There are things we’ve already mentioned that are going to bear fruit a long time into the future. So that’s just the fun of it. That’s the fun of Doctor Who. But, to say again, it’s the pit stops along the way.

Star Trek: Starfleet Academy

Finally, Robert Picardo spoke to Kate Mulgrew about The Doctor’s return (via Trek Movie) to the Star Trek universe following Discovery‘s apocalyptic “The Burn” in Starfleet Academy.

… he started with nothing. The Doctor had an extraordinary arc over the seven years, and brick by brick building a character that was quite human-like from something that had no personality or affect at the start. … This much has been said in the press about the show, Starfleet Academy is set in the far distant future in the 32nd century. Starfleet, which basically fell apart in this future tragedy called ‘the Burn,’ has been reconstituted, and this is the first entering class at Starfleet Academy in more than a hundred years. And my character is teaching there. And I think that frankly, at least according to our producer, who we both know well, Alex Kurtzman, he said that that seeing the doctor teach cadets on Prodigy, his exact words, that it made complete sense, that he would be teaching cadets in Starfleet Academy in the future. So I really do think that my stint on Prodigy helped open, that.. [door].
